A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life.

Road Trip With Daddy
Due to the twins needing to stay in away from germs a lot of time has been spent in the house! Babe and I thought it would be nice if the older kids could go on a little road trip with Daddy and just get away for awhile. I stayed home with the twins and J. They went on this trip at the end of their Christmas break.
On the trip they went to the Sand Dune National Park, Mesa Verde National Park, and Four Corners. They all really enjoyed their road trip. It was quite cold but they still had a great trip and enjoyed staying in hotels with pools!!

G, A, R, and C at the Sand Dunes. Oh, and A's doll Kaya!
Babe took this beautiful picture of the dunes and mountains!!
The kids at Four Corners. They had really wanted to see this!
Four Corners
Above picture is Mesa Verde. Annalina is into American Indians.
She LOVES things dealing with indians so this was a fun area to come to!
Above pictures are all Mesa Verde.
J was EXTREMELY happy to have Daddy and the big kids home again!!
While they were gone Ross bought me a magnet with his money which was so sweet. "A" wrote me notes at night using the hotel stationary pad and would get the boys to say something to me too. I love those notes! C dictated a note to to "A" for me that read "I wish you were here. Please come anyway." I just love that! "A" wrote me a note about seeing a dress and how she would have showed it to me had I been there, etc. It is nice to be thought of!

Funny Stories
A little while back I could not find my cell phone anywhere but knew it had to be close since I had used it that morning and never left the house. This is not exactly anything new I am a scatter brain right now! My friend E wonders if I should put it in something and wear it around the house so I always have it. But she knows how I am and said but then I'd have to remember to put it in the carrier!! She did not say this in a mean way or annoyed way she is not that type of friend! She is always looking for ways to help me.
Anyway, the whole family was downstairs hanging out and doing school EXCEPT for little J who was upstairs in his crib supossedly taking a nap. Babe said to me that I could have his phone for use. As I was sitting there Babe's phone rang and it said "Sunshine" (His nickname for me). I thought Huh? My phone is calling this phone? Interesting! So I answered it and nobody responded but I could hear noises. It was just a tad bit creepy to me! It wasn't any of the big kids so I went up to Jedidiah's room and when I walked in he was laying on his belly in his crib and just kinda smiled up at me. Hmm, ok. I walked out and came and reported to Babe. He decided to go check on J himself and sure enough when he went in there was J playing on my cell phone!! Smart little booger!! Here is the weird thing my phone locks after a pretty short period of inuse so what we were all amazed about was how did he get past the 4 digit code needed to use the phone? One of the kids said maybe he is a "code breaker"! Toooo funny!!!! I asked little J about calling Mommy and he pointed up to his bedroom like Yah, that was me!!

Also, I was testing Annalina over some history and it was talking about things like the Hellenistic Age, etc. Anyway, I was describing an age and then asking what age it was and she said "the Hectic Age". Again, to funny. No, that would be the age we are living in now!!!:-)

Tidbits of Today
"I was being so nice to Brita that I was almost like a babysitter!"--Carson Comment Today

Speaking of the hymn . . . "Take time to be holy, speak oft with the Lord, abide in Him always and feed on His word, make friends of God's children, help those who are week, forgetting in nothing His blessing to seek."
Ross said to me as he was holding Brita this morning. . . "when I hear 'help those who are week' I think of Brita". How sweet! He is so good with the girls and so compassionate! This morning he had Brita in a blanket and was cuddling her in a chair. It was super sweet! He adores both the twins but the reason he picked Brita like that is because she is the one with physical problems and needs therapy, etc. Which reminds me of another memory to put down.
Brita's last OT therapy appt. Ross asked if he could go in with me. He was EXCELLENT helping out the therapist!!! The therapist said he was hired!! He really seemed to be naturally cued in to how she did things. One of the funny things that happened though was he said to Brita "your sister is out there eating a bottle and you're in therapy." Brita started to cry!! Then later in the session the therapist spoke of a bottle again and Brita started to cry again! The therapist said no more using the word bottle! Too funny.
Brita is a very sunny smiley baby but during therapy she is a lot more reserved. She's cooperative but reserved. She may get over that as she learns that it does not cause pain. She has had some painful moments in her orthopeadic appts. so that may be in her memory.

Baby was walking by the piano tonight and he said J was "playing" the piano and saying "Yah, Yah, Yah" and he smiled at Daddy like he was really doing some playing and singing. Adorable.
